What are effective pixels? Digital camera image sensors consist of a large number of very tiny sensors that collect photons. The photodiode collects the photons and converts them into an electrical charge. Each pixel associates with 1 single photodiode. Effective pixels are the pixels that capture the image data. They are called "effective" because they are successful in producing the desired effect or intended result.

Obstacle Avoidance
The EVO 2 features 12 on-board computer vision sensors controlled by a dual-core processor. Artificial Intelligence machine learning creates 360 degree omni-directional obstacle avoidance. The EVO 2 will begin detecting potential hazards at up to 30 meters away. Once an obstruction is detected the EVO 2 will accurately control the speed of the drone to avoid a collision. You can also turn the obstacle avoidance off and use the radar feature to get more information about the environment while still being in full control of the aircraft.
Intelligent Navigation
Using the same 12 on-board computer vision sensors, the EVO 2 can navigate itself in all directions while simultaneously avoiding obstacles. This gives you the flexibility to control the drone however you want. The EVO 2 also features the aerial film crew option which puts the drone in autopilot mode. You can do whatever you want while the EVO 2 captures footage while intelligently navigating through the environment. The EVO 2 has the ability to recognize up to 64 subjects in flight.
